Dr. Sheila Krishna, MD is double board certified in Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (Mohs).
She received her undergraduate degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she double majored in biology and foreign languages and graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. Dr. Krishna received her medical degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
She completed her dermatology residency at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, and she served as Chief Resident in the Department of Dermatology. She completed an additional research year at UCLA with Dr. Lloyd Miller, where she gained expertise in research methods and protocol design and execution.
Dr. Krishna is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and the American Society for Mohs Surgery (ASMS).
Dr. Krishna practices in San Diego, California where she treats adults and children for skin conditions. Dr. Krishna was selected as a Top Doctor by her peers in San Diego in 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2022.
In 2021, Dr. Krishna was among the first in the country to successfully obtain board certification in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (Mohs).
As a physician and surgeon, Dr. Krishna believes in the power of communication with patients and families and that scientific knowledge should be shared and understood by consumers and the public to reach optimal health.
As a mother of two boys, wife, daughter and sister, Dr. Krishna knows that healthy lives make for happy lives. She has worked with her own family and countless families in her practice to help them achieve good health. Through her work, she hopes to assist individuals and businesses in their shared goals as well.
